THEME: Sewing Projects on the Go

The theme for this month is “Sewing Projects on the Go” - so incredibly appropriate with this period of transition during the month of August (not to mention loads of teaching for me all summer long!)

It has been nonstop in our little corner of the world - and I definitely needed some EPP slow stitching to pack and take along for the ride! Enter my latest EPP WIP “Jouer a Cache Cache” featuring the playful Tabby Road DejaVu by @tulapink

I have been fussy cutting these diamonds with delight all month long! To date I have stitched up all 250 initial pieces in the ombré of diamond stars.

To top it off - I wanted a sweet little case as I knew carrying my large EPP bag around wasn’t in the cards. I created an on-the-go bag that perfectly suited my needs of carrying my EPP basics in the zippered interior pockets, and could be tucked away quickly.

I adore it all.

THEME: Thread Organization

I made myself one of my favorite bags for storing my threads, A Place for Everything 2.0 from PatternsByAnnie - it is positively bursting with a rainbow of color. I have my threads at my fingertips ready to stitch no matter if I’m in my studio, at home, or on the move with my family. I constructed and quilted this bag with the 50wt Roar! collection by Tula Pink.

THEME: Holiday Projects

Joyfully embracing the festive spirit with the Tula Pink Holiday Homies 3-spool thread collection – looking to create something festive I was happily smitten with the Hexie EPP Stocking pattern. Savored the simplicity of slow stitching while enjoying some of my favorite Christmas movies surrounded by twinkling lights and shades of green and red all around.

THEME: Auriful Collections

Checking all of my boxes: creating authentically to my style (aka bright, bold, and a smidge over the top), producing a project that is both beautiful and useful, creating from an outside-of-the-box point of view. I showcased the rich and vibrant Dragon's Breath 10-spool collection by Tula Pink.
